parsererror on checkout with free virtual items

  • If a user in my store orders a virtual item that is free and also tries to make a donation, the order does not go through and they get a message that says “parsererror”. If I deselect “virtual” on the free product, the order is accepted but then shipping is charged. If I order the free item without a donation, the order goes through. I can also make donations while ordering paid items in the store.
    I am using WooCommerce Payments with Stripe as my payment plugin.
