    How can I clone my full website? (including Uploads) without WP STAGING stopping

    I want to use the clone site to Test Plugin updates and WordPress updates, before updating them on the live site.

    I tried to clone my website, but could only partially clone it. Cloning the database was OK. The problem occurred during File cloning.

    Pretty quickly (0.3% Files cloned) cloning stopped. Plugin advice stated that file sizes are too big. In particular File Uploads (approx 1.5GB) and Updraft Plus Files (approx 2.8GB).

    C Panel Hosting: Free space available (13.3GB) and is MYSQL Apache and mod_rewrite or NGINX

    I deselected both File Uploads and Updraft Plus Files (UPDRAFT – NOT NEEDED) & Partial clone completed OK.

    I now have a cloned website with no photos or mp3’s which is not a complete cloned site to use for testing Plugin Updates and W.P. updates

    Please can you help?

    I deleted the first partial clone site as above & tried again to clone the website. I de-selected Updraft Plus files from the clone I operated Plugin Optimizer for all Plugins, then Debug Mode. 10% of all remaining files were cloned.Then the clone process stopped.

    Further I added QUERY MONITOR plugin but didn’t find any plugin php errors.

    Do you have any helpful advice how I can resolve this issue?

    Hi,

    soory for not answering earlier. Since latest forum update we are not longer informed about new forum requests.

    Usually copying a huge set of files is not a problem but if some of your images are very big of its size than its intended to skip these files.

    The copy process should not be interrupted or stopped, though.

    if you send me the relevant log file and a screenshot from the time point of happening i can debug this more.

    Hi Rene,

    Thanks. After file copying stopped I again de-selected updraft plus files and resumed copying. The staging site completed.
