• I have a product with the word “tincture” all over it in the title, tags, etc.
But when I search for “tinctures” I get no results.

Is there a way to get Relevanssi to add an (s) to everything that gets searched so that it can find matches for the plural of words?

That’s not partial match. Partial match is the other way around: having “tincture” match to “tinctures”.

Relevanssi doesn’t understand language. Relevanssi has no way of knowing that if a letter is added to a word, it still means the same thing. For Relevanssi those are two different words. After all, there are cases in languages where adding a single letter inverts the meaning of a word.

Relevanssi Premium includes a simple English-language stemmer which stems some word cases to the base form, including regular plurals. That way you can find posts using singular or plural. That’s the easiest option.

If you’re good at programming, you can create a simple plural stemmer yourself, that’s also possible. Relevanssi offers lots of filter hooks to support that.

I did tincture = tinctures and tinctures = tincture
    under the Synonyms setting

but searching “tinctures” still doesn’t show any products.
If you just hit enter, it will take you to the product, but the actual search bar won’t show any products; it’ll say “no results”.

Do you have OR operator enabled? Synonyms do not work in AND searches.

    Yes it is on OR

Are you sure the results are powered by Relevanssi? If you disable Relevanssi, do you get different results?

I’m pretty sure Relevenssi is activated and working. I followed the installation instructions.
No I seem to get the same results either way.

If you get the same results either way, then you’re not seeing Relevanssi results. Can you show me the search results template of your site?
