Partial matching doesn’t work

    Saw a thread from 4 years ago saying the partial matching doesn’t work and it had been fixed. I use buddypress and i tested it with partial usernames and it goes through,meaning it doesn’t work. How can I fix it? Can you help me?

    UPDATE: I tested it on separate wordpress installation and it worked. I assume it might be a conflict with buddypress? Any idea of how it can be fixed?

    I also have this issue, also with buddypress installed.

    Have you found a solution yet? or perhaps a different plugin that worked for you?

    @gabrieldilaurentis, @nakes: v3.7 of the Restrict Usernames plugin has been released which includes a fix for a bug that prevented username restrictions from working properly under BuddyPress.
