Hi I’m trying to use the partial protection and I have a strange problem.
When I protect a page with Partial Protection for a Specific Member It works fine ([swpm_protected member_id=”4″])
But when I protect the same page with Partial Protection for Specific Membership Level(s) ([swpm_protected for=”2-3-4″]) it doesn’t work. For exemple, the member number 4 can’t see the page
    I can’t understand why.
Thank you very much for your help! I thank you very much for this excellent plugin!!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    https://simple-membership-plugin.com/apply-partial-section-protection/

    Thank you.

Hello thank you for your answer. Yes I have read everything, I have copied and pasted the the shortcode in the Text mode of my page, and I have not protected the page.

In the membership levels – protect pages I don′t choose anything.

In my page if I copy and paste the sortcode
[swpm_protected for=”2-3-4″] the member number 4 can’t access to the content

But if I copy and paste the shortcode [swpm_protected member_id=”4″] member 4 can access

If I have something wrong, why with the shortcode for only 1 member works fine?

I’m really worried, I read everything but I can’t solve it

Thank you very much for your help

Hi, I just carried out a test. I have the latest partial protection addon version 1.3 installed and activated.

    Step 1) I created 3 free membership levels which have the following ID = 2, 3, 4.
Step 2) I created a new post which is not generally protected by the smp plugin.
Step 3) I then added the following shortcode.

    [swpm_protected for="2-3-4"]

Whatever content goes here is only visible to members who belong to the specific membership level(s) specified in the shortcode.

    [/swpm_protected]

Step 4) I logged in with the user which has membership level ID= 4 and was able to see the content in the partial protection section as per the shortcode above.

I can confirm that the shortcode above is working for me in my dev site.

    Kind regards.

I can’t understand. Each member have to be associated at a membership level, in my case, Member number 4 have the level FREE (I have already created this level as a free level)

It is maby something wrong here?

If I have something wrong, why this member can have access if I choose the other shortcode?

Sorry, I really need your help, I have something wrong but I can’t find it
    Thank you again!

Hi, check to make sure the member with ID=4 is not assigned a category that is protected by the plugin.

For testing purposes. Can you add new test member and make sure the ID is included in the partial protection shortcode. Then carry out a test.

    Let me know what happens.

    Regards.

    Hi the mistery is solved
    I whrote
“In my page if I copy and paste the sortcode
[swpm_protected for=”2-3-4″] the member number 4 can’t access to the content

But if I copy and paste the shortcode [swpm_protected member_id=”4″] member 4 can access”

The problem is that I was using [swpm_protected for=”2-3-4″] to give access to the member number 4, and this shortcode is for give access to the memberships levels 2, 3 and 4, so, those are the numbers of the memberships, and not of the members.
That’s why the second code works well.

    Everything is fine now
    thank you
