hey,
I’m an absolute beginner with all this. My website is Nunablog.

I recently upgraded from WordPress 1.5 to 2.1. Everything went well and loaded fine. I tried playing with some basic theme elements in the default Kubrick theme.

I changed the background color jpg, the footer jpg and tried editing the footer.php file. After those changes I was only getting a partial sidebar and partial framing around the posts.

I couldn’t figure out the problem so I deleted the whole ‘default’ folder and reloaded the original files. I’ve still got the problem.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Something’s stopping it after the category listing. What’s suppose to come next?

drmike: The category listing isn’t even complete. After that should be our blogroll/links listing and then the ‘Meta’ section.

If I look at your site in Firefox I get a “The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.” message.

Looking at it in the W3C validator I get
“I got the following unexpected response when trying to retrieve <https://www.nunablog.ca/>:

500 EOF when chunk header expected

If you made recent changes to your domain name (DNS) configuration, you may also want to check that your domain records are correct, or ask your hosting company to do so.”

It seems that there could be something wrong with the site platform which needs fixing before you check the code.
