Pass a “value” to hidden field depending on Dropdown choice

Let’s say I have a dropdown, with 3 different choice.
Dr John Simpson
Dr Roger Waters
Dr Evan Myers

If I select “Dr John Simpson”…

Is there a function or code to pass a value, for example “cod. 1234” to a hidden field?

If I select “Roger Waters”… Then I pass “cod. 6543” and so on.

Something like a Listener? anything that allow me to pass a value depending on Dropdown choice?

I need doctor’s code in html message, but user can’t have visibility to it.
