Pass data to mail tamplate through code

Hello,

I’d like to know if it’s possible to get some data from the form, elaborate it and put the result in the mail. At the moment I’m using some hidden fields but I can’t keep them hidden in some browsers (Firefox daylight for Android for example).

Now I’m using some Javascript to do the task. I was wondering if there are better solutions. For example, I’ve read this:

But it’s not clear to me how to put my elaborated data in the mail template.
