pass modal-link via HTTP?

    The plugin works fine for me but has a limitation. The only way (I can find) to open a page as a pop-up is via an <a href="https://mysite.com/modalpage/"> HTML tag on another page. However, I really need to be able to open the pop-up form via some other means, preferably via a URL with a parameter. Alternatively is it possible to define the pop-up page in some way so that it always appears as a pop-up, no matter how it is opened?

    I need this as I want to open the pop-up from within PHP code.
