• Hello,

I have an image with 5 different areas, each of which I need to create a list of data for. When any one of these areas is clicked, I need for it’s corresponding data to be displayed in a single column, single row table on the same page, in a bulleted list. And I need whatever the solution is to be compatible with all browsers and tablets if possible.

I have tried a few things and they failed, so I thought I’d ask here. I apologize if this is the wrong place and hope that somebody can point me in the right direction.

Could I create an image map and somehow use onclick to pass the data from the array to the table? There has to be a way but I’m not finding it (or I have overlooked it). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

p.s. it’s obvious I’m a noob, but i do (mostly) understand scripts and code…I just don’t always know how to implement it all. Thanks for your help…

p.s.s. I would be willing to use buttons in place of “areas” if it would make the job easier. I’m thinking that by using buttons, maybe I wouldn’t need an image map which should make things less complicated.
