• My dev team is about to launch a website using the Popups plugin. The Popup only has one field for a “reference number”.

When the user hits “submit” we want the “reference number” to carry that data to the destination form.

Does this plugin have that ability? If so, can you help me articulate that to them? If not, do you know of any work arounds?

We are launching in a few hours and we are sleep deprived, so your help is greatly appreciated.

    Cheers!

    David

    Hi David,
Not sure what you mean. The popup is independent of what you put inside of it. So if you added a form inside you need to make that form carry the data to the destination. Is that what you asking for?

I also am looking for this functionality. My use case is:

    • Button on post >
    • WordPress Popup >
    • Contact Form 7

The contact form can take a parameter from the URL (e.g. mysite.com/mypage?myreference=1234). You can then access ‘myreference’ value in the form.

Unfortunately if I try with a url to the popup bookmark it does not open the popup (e.g. https://mysite/mypage/#spu-9345?myreference=12345)
