passtrhu issue with external media URL

Hi there! We’re using this plugin with pass-thru option activated.
And now:

– on our dev site where original media (jpg,pngs) are stored within build-in media library, everything works correctly, this is a URL we’re getting once we click ‘open image in new tab’ https://landingi.staginglab.eu/wp-content/webpc-passthru.php?src=https://landingi.staginglab.eu/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/good-hands_img2.jpg&nocache=1

– however, once we’ve pushed these changes to our staging env, where media are stored are offloaded to CDN, the passtrhu option is not working anymore.
The media are not visible on front-end -> staging site
also, the link we’re getting while trying to open this ‘broken’ image is new tab, is not responding:

It it possible that webpc-passthru.php won’t work with media that are externally offloaded to under different URL?
