It sounds like there might be a caching conflict. A couple questions to see if this is the case…
1. Do you happen to be using WP Engine as your web host? WP Engine auto enables page caching on all their sites. If not, do you know if your web host applies any auto-caching features to their sites?
2. Do you know if you are using a caching plugin on the site (these plugins conflict with Hide My Site)? If so, try deactivating the caching plugin and see if that resolves it. Note that deactivating a caching plugin does not always purge the cache. Before you deactivate the caching plugin, first go to the plugin admin page and turn off caching from there.
