Password not working

Let me add to this, If I set a featured Image Everyone can see all the photos in the album, if I don’t set a featured image I get a blank bit where the featured image would be but if I click on this nothing happens.

HI,
When I am in the create album page (which is a custom post page) above the update button on the right hand side is a publish widget which contains status, visibility and published, the visibility is normally set to public, but it can be changed to private (which works) or password protected which does not work.

Hope this makes sense, I want to show an album but only to people I give a password to.

This is no over plugin related issue, it should be work may be any plugin or your theme causing the issue.
Please create a new fresh page, add a shortcode and make it password protected and then check-in private browser.

Thank you, I created a new page and copied the same shortcode onto it as above, only showing the one (1026) I wanted password protected.

It still shows up.

I deactivated all my plugins except yours and it still shows up.

I tried changing my theme to twenty-nineteen and it still shows up.

Is there another theme I should try ?
