Hi Jon, password-protection isn’t a feature of a theme or WordPress core, so you have a few routes.

– Set up password protection on your server. Some hosting control panels offers a simple way to add a password to a site or folder; you could try that route first.
– You could try a plugin: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/search.php?q=password+protection
