Foo Galllery is really a great plugin for WordPress. We love using it on our gallery. The thing is, we have an issue regarding the password protect of the gallery that we just created last May 25,2017. Even though the password is correct, it is still not accepting it. All of the galleries that we created before are perfectly working with their password protect. I’m not sure if it is because we updated to the latest WordPress version? Please help. Thank you so much.

*Here are the list of what I did to know what I was dealing with:

    • tried to put password on a page and see if it works. Result: It worked.
So the only password that is not working is on the foo gallery’s galleries
    • tried to change the gallery’s password. Result: Did not work.
    • tried to make another album for the new gallery. Result: Did not work
    • tried to deactivate, and activate foogalley plugin. Result: Did not work
    • tried to remove password, and made it public. Result: The gallery was opened. But we need to put a password, so I tried to make it into password protect again, put another password and still failed-password not working even though it is correct.

    Hi

I have tried to reproduce this error with the latest version, but I cannot.
If possible, you need to figure out what is conflicting with FooGallery.

To do this, start with your theme. Change to the standard 2015 theme and see if the same thing happens. If it works, then we know it’s a theme conflict.

If still the same then move onto your plugins. Deactivate all plugins except FooGallery and see if it still happens. If it works, then we know its a plugin conflict. Now you have to activate each plugin one at a time, and test after each activation. If it stops working after you activate a specific plugin, then that is your conflicting plugin.

If you can do this on a staging server that would be ideal. Let me know

    Hi Bradvin,

Thank you so much for your prompt reply.

I tried your suggestions and here are the results:

    1. “To do this, start with your theme. Change to the standard 2015 theme and see if the same thing happens. If it works, then we know it’s a theme conflict.”

Result: I changed our current theme (The Retailer Version: 2.4.10 By Get Bowtied ) to Twenty Fifteen Version: 1.7 By the WordPress team. But it did solve the issue. The other galleries password protect is working but the one that we created recently is still not working.

    2. “Deactivate all plugins except FooGallery and see if it still happens. If it works, then we know its a plugin conflict. ”

Result: After I deactivated all the plugins, it is still not working. Even after I reactivated all the plugins one by one, it did not work.

*I did this both on a staging site and on our production site.

Thank you. I really appreciate your help.

    Correction on my reply,

But it did NOT solve the issue. The other galleries password protect is working but the one that we created recently is still not working.

@fotokraftwerks – I think I know what the problem is. The HTML cache built into foogallery is causing the password protection to not work.

To get around this, goto FooGallery settings and check the setting Disable HTML Cache and save your settings.

    Then try again

    Hi sir Bradvin,

Thank you so much! It is already working. I tried to create another gallery and the password protection is now working.

Thank you so much! We really appreciate your help!
