• Hi!

I’m building a new website where I will upload content for my clients. Each client will have its own separate page (with sub-pages) which I would like to password protect so only the client can access the content.

Anybody has any idea how to do that? I can’t set up password protection on the server side, since the directories are “virtual”. I’m really at a loss here. Any suggestion would be welcome!

    Thank you

  • Check out this plugin – Page Protection

this looks like it should do what you need

Password protection for both Pages and Posts is built into WordPress. Upper right hand corned on Edit Page or Edit Post – visibility >> pick Password Protect.

Thanks! I had no idea that was possible this morning, and I’ve been using WP for years! What an idiot.

However, I’d like to know if it’s possible to password protect the child pages too? So the user doesn’t have to log in at each child page?

Thanks again for your help ??

my password protect does not work…any assistance?

i hit the protect password, enter the password and hit ok, then when i go to the page, the password entry comes up and i enter it and then it doesn’t do anything, can you help me with my problem?
