Password Protected Files link to Error

I followed the directions on making a Password Protected Download, and added the link to a page (using a URL not a button), but when I click the link, it takes me to a page that says:

Error! This download requires a password.
Click here and enter a valid password for this item

The Click here takes me to https://www.lss-elca.org/sdm_downloads/assembly-book-2-synod-directory-yellow-section-2020/ but there is no input box to put the password.

Can someone please help?
