I have a password protected page, using the default password protection in WordPress.

On mobile, it does not work, namely, entering the password doesn’t let you in, rather it just loops back to the password entry form again, and you can never ever get into the page.

I’ve tried everything, including completely disabling the litespeed cache plugin, tried multiple mobile devices on different browsers, clearing cookies, history, etc, and just no change. It’s like something is stuck, and it’s only stuck on mobile. Desktop is fine.

I’ve also tried unpublishing and republishing the page, also removing the password protection and then re-adding it. Nothing seems to work.

Has anyone ever run into this before? Should I be considering a password protection plugin instead? It’s only this one page that needs to be protected, and we do want it to be the same password for everyone.

    Thanks for any advice.

    Hi @2mooses

Can you please send me a link to that page, or maybe can you create a sample page and have a temporary password so that I could test it here on my end and check for possible error? From there, I can assess what is causing the issue.

    Thanks

    Thanks @jerry

    Try this temporary location: https://skopenfarmdays.ca/host-farms/for-testing/

Is there some way I can send the password separately?

I have since added the plugin Passster, which has allowed me to add a note about using desktop instead of mobile, but it has not solved the issue.

I also tried disabling the Solid Security Pro plugin to see if that was the issue, and no change.

I’m reluctant to take the time to move it over to a staging area and systematically disable everything to find the cause, if this can be solved some other way.
