Password Protected Page Not Working

  • A password protected page on my site only works intermittently. Sometimes when I view the page, the password prompt is there. Other times, there is no password prompt at all and the page content is visible and unprotected. We use Thesis 1.8.5 as our theme and the following plugins:

    • Backupbuddy Version 3.0.35
    • Google Calendar Widget & Short Code Version alpha 2
    • Gravity Forms Version 1.6.4.5.4
    • NextGEN Gallery Version 1.9.3 (there’s an update available for this, but I altered the plugin code and don’t want to update this plugin)

    Does anyone know how to resolve this?

  • Has it been like this from the start of your site?
    Are you using the built in page password protection?
    Have you installed the last update 3.4.1?

    Can you provide a link to your site?

    I’m just wondering if you’re experiencing effects from the last update like I do.

    As it turns out, the browser was remembering the password and granting access for pageviews following initial login. Looks like this problem solved itself!
