password protected page with Captcha

Passwords are used to restrict the access to certain posts and pages. A captcha is used to prevent bots from creating logins and comments. I’m not sure why you feel you need both here. You really shouldn’t.

I just think it would help to prevent brutal force attack on the page. Otherwise, people can just keep trying different passwords.

Another option would be to restrict access to that page to logged-in users for example, and add the Captcha verification to the front-end login form.
