I use password protected posts but some users can access the posts and some cannot. Those who cannot put the password in and submit and nothing happens, the page just refreshes looking for the password again. I tried it from work not logged in and the same thing happens to me. Yet, I know someone else who also has a WP blog and she has no problems putting in the password and reading my posts. Has anyone had this issue? It’s killing me as barely anyone (family and such) can read our blog? I just went back to a standard template and still same issue.
    thanks

I have the same issue. some people can login and some cannot. Those who cannot login, they submit the password and nothing happens, the page just refreshes as if you put in the incorrect password. Here are the issues I tried to resolve it which did not work.

    Updated IE to 7

under tools> internet options > advanced tab

check- -security section at the bottom –
    ensure that

    use ssl 2.0
    use ssl 3.0
    use tls 1.0

    are checked.

    content tab
    click clear SSL state

clear the temporary internet files and cookies.

added the URL to the trusted sites.

remove extra programs running in the background.

Some machines can get in and some cannot (on the same network). So it has to be tied to the software configuration on the box itself.

I matched up all the settings for privacy, advanced
