Password Protecting a Page/Post

I want to create a page or post on my site that will prompt for and require a password in order to see the page. It can be very simple, just a prompt and the ability of me to set a simple password. Once a view puts in the password, the page would display. We need to put a “portal” on our site to allow some of our volunteers to get to some documents. Thanks for any help.
