password protecting pages

  • Hi All
    I have a members section on a choir website, I used page protection to limit access to the members page and child pages using a common username and password.
    Since updating the site the page protection doesn’t do anything.
    Can anyone help?

    If you’ve already added the password, your website will remember you based on your cookies.

    Try clearing your cookies or using a different browser (that you haven’t logged in with).

    Many thanks for the reply,I have tried different browsers and tablets etc but the password box re appeares after a few seconds, please see image.

    Hmm, that’s not regular WordPress password protected pages. Looks like you’re using a plugin or maybe some sort of server tweaking to set the password?
