Password Protection in WordPress

  • Okay I know there are lots of posts regarding password protecting pages but that means I could spend ages trying to find the right one, so;

    I’ve got a password protected page that works fine and has done so for many months. I have tried to add another one which initially seems to work and maybe allows the password once. Then it just cycles back to asking for the password again and it’s really annoying! I’ve deleted and recreated the page and the same thing happens. I’ve reset the password and the page protection status by switching it on and off but still to no avail.

    Has anyone got any suggestions or know of a third party plugin that will allow individual page protection?

    Trying to understand this: are you saying this particular page asking for password when it should not be?

    Hi. I do want the age password protected, yes. What happens is that when I try to enter the password (which is definitely the correct one) to get to the protected content I just get asked for the password again – it’ just going around in circles the whole time.
