Password reset conflict using "Rename wp-login.php" and "Easy WP SMTP" plugins
-
I don’t know if you can help me with this issue as it involves another plugin, but I thought I’d check anyway.
I need to use an SMTP plugin to send emails with my web host. When the “Easy WP SMTP” plugin is activated along with your plugin, my users receive the following error when they attempt to reset their password:
The e-mail could not be sent.
Possible reason: your host may have disabled the mail() function. If I disable the “Easy WP SMTP” plugin, password recovery works as expected. Unfortunately, WordPress’s default email notification implementation has not been reliable for my users (many have reported unsent emails prior to me using the SMTP plugin).
I’m hoping you might be able to assist me in resolving this issue. Thank you!
