I’ve installed the plugin and it works well for logging in.

However, when I use it for resetting a password, the screen updates OK, but I never receive the email.

I’ve testing the normal password reset (with the plugin disabled), and that works fine – so there is not some other issue with the WP setup.

    I have V 1.2.3 of ProfilePress installed.

Look forward to receiving some of that awesome support that others have mentioned.

I just tested on a new WordPress install and it is working perfectly.

Are you sure the emails aren’t in spam?

    You’re right!

I was just now checking best-practice advice from the Contact Form 7 site, and now I can see why with the native password reset, the emails were not not going to spam, but with ProfilePress, they DO go to spam.

The native password reset uses a “from” email like this:

    wordpress@<hostingdomainname>

However, ProfilePress uses the email address of the admin account, and in my case, that is on a different domain – and that causes the emails to be sent to spam.

Might be worth using the same convention as the native functionality.

    Thanks

    Alex

Hi AlexGoodall, this is how the plugin work. But we’ll add a filter so you can change the email in next plugin version.

Mind you, the PRO version has a settings to do this and even customize the password reset message.

    Cheers.
