Hey! I am sure. I used the username and login and then the message came up saying it was expired and then to go through the resetting steps. I typed in the same username and got that message.

I’m not able to reproduce the problem you are describing.

As far as I can tell, this is the place where WordPress throws this message and it means that the allow_password_reset filter has been set to false.

My plugin does not touch that filter at all, so I’m wondering if another plugin installed on your site might be?

After turning off plugins and testing, I’ve found that the plugin Bulletproof Security is what causes this issue. Is this an htaccess filter? If so, what string would I need to put in my htaccess?

Yes, the maximum is 365 days.

Anything beyond that and you may as well not even bother expiring passwords ??
