• When a user clicks on “forgot password?” they are prompted to enter their email. Submitting this sends an email to the user with a reset link.

    So far so good.

The reset link takes them back to the my site. It seems to show the “my account page” for just a second before redirecting to the default WordPress sign in page; NOT a reset page. Clicking reset there, simply does the same thing.

There is no place to enter a new password.

I’ve looked about at other similar topics but haven’t found anything quite the same.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

  • It seems you have some plugin on your site that is inferring with WordPress’s password reset mechanism. I tried opening the “Forgot Password” link, and I was briefly sent to the page shown below with the URL https://coenacademy.com/account/lost-password/, before being re-directed to WordPress’ native password reset page.

This intermediary page is not a default WordPress password reset page. The page was built with Elementor, but I can’t say for sure if it’s Elementor doing this redirect.

Kindly check to see if you have any plugin handling user profiles or login security, and temporarily disable it to see what happens. If nothing obvious stands out, disable all plugins, test, and enable them one after the other until you find the culprit. This plugin may come handy to do this troubleshooting behind the scenes without your users noticing anything: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/

Thanks so much for taking a look. I’m not entirely sure but I think the problem was a combination of plugins with login credentials that were interfering with each other. I was using Learndash, Booknetic, and WooCommerce. Getting rid of WooCommerce did the trick.
