All Plugins and themes have been tested, but password reset does not work. I read through another thread that was marked as “resolved” because the problem may hav been between elementor and woocommerce. I do not use elementor, I use elegant themes and experiencing the same exact issue.

ALL emails from woo commerce are working except password reset emails. Database is updated, several updates to woo commerce and other plugins have been made over the past year and the issue remains the same. Yes I have the dns records correct and it’s not an issue with spam, gmail or yahoo.

I don’t see anything in the system status that stands out

This has happened before a 3 years ago as well, I unfortunately don’t remember what resolved the issue.

Are there any known issues with password reset with certain versions.

I use elegant themes Divi, and woocommerce 6.6.2

    Hi @theyogimatt ,

I understand how frustrating it must be to face the password reset issue even after you’ve checked everything on your end. It sounds like you’ve been thorough with your troubleshooting by checking plugins, themes.

Before we dive into deeper troubleshooting, could you try going to WooCommerce → Settings → Emails? There, you’ll find the email settings for ‘Reset password.’ Click manage and please check if it’s enabled. It should look like this: https://snipboard.io/wFdhqx.jpg

Also, just to confirm, users can go through the password reset process, but the email notification isn’t being sent, is that correct? Looking forward to your response.

that’s correct they are enabled indeed , the password process works just fine but emails are not actually making it to people’s inbox. Now I know you’ll say its spam filters. However I have tested this and noticed for some email addresses it just never goes through, and for others it does.

    Hi @theyogimatt

Thanks for confirming that it’s enabled. Since the issue isn’t consistent across all types of WooCommerce email notifications, we might still be dealing with a settings issue.

Could you try following this Email Troubleshooting guide just to make sure we cover all angles: https://woocommerce.com/document/email-faq/#check-your-email-settings

Additionally, please try installing a mail logging plugin like ‘WP Mail Logging‘ or something similar to see if the emails are being sent from your WordPress installation. If they’re being logged as sent but not received, it can be an issue with the email service provider blocking or delaying them.

If the problem persists, you could consider using an SMTP plugin like WP Mail SMTP or similar to send emails via an external mail service. This often solves deliverability issues. Let me know how these steps go.
