    Hi.

How do I change the redirection that takes place after a user successfully requests a password reset (1st step in resetting password by entering your email address)? At present, requesting a password reset redirects me back to my home page for some odd reason. Preferably I would like it to redirect me back to the login page with an appropriate message to the user saying to check their email to complete the password reset process etc.

The redirect works great for the second step of the password reset process, which is after the user has clicked the link in their email and changed their password…

    Hi

    I hope you are fine.

Regarding your issue, it seems to me that you did not set the redirect link for your Lost Password form properly and that is why it is redirecting you to the home page. You need to set the custom URL option to redirect the page, check the whole process, here, https://d.pr/Zb3TOe

    Thanks

Hi, well, the only difference in my set up is this:

Are you able to try with this setting to see if the message to check email shows after requesting a password reset? Or does it only work if I have a separate page for the password reset form?

    Hi

    I hope you are fine.

Yes, you need to create a page for password reset form, and need to set the custom URL option to redirect the page.

    Thanks

Sorry, but this does not work.

I have followed your steps exactly and I am still running into the same issue. It also seems like you are using the pro version and have AJAX enabled for the form submission, which is likely why on the lost password form, you are seeing a success message and not being redirected when requesting a password reset. There doesn’t seem to be an option with this plugin/widget to redirect a user to an appropriate page after requesting a password reset.

    Hi

    I hope you are fine.

I checked on my side with the option you mentioned in the screenshot, “show lost password’ form, and with the latest version of free plugin, but could not replicate the issue, which you are facing, please check the screencast, https://d.pr/v/JH9BdI

Can you please check the scenario by disabling other plugins?
