I am experiencing some difficulties with password management: I strongly suggest that there is an option to show the chosen password in the admin interface. If one choses a complex password, in order to share it, one is never sure of which password actually stored. Moreover, if you intend to retrieve this password at a later time, it is easier to change it than retrieve it, thereby leaving in the dark anyone to whom the original password had been communicated.

Moreover, I would suggest, if this is not already happening, that all blank spaces which may have been accidentally copied and pasted are removed, when a password is stored.

Without the possibility of seeing which password is currently in use, one has to rely on copying and pasting, with the possibility of introducing empty spaces.

Additional consideration: I created this random password: 6A’DQ^,gR

I copied and pasted it to the admin setup page; then, with the same password in my cut and paste memory, I pasted this password into the frontend file password field. I’ve tried several times, but the password is not recognised. I believe this to be due to certain characters not being recognised. I tried to simplify the password to 6ADQgR and this worked.

    Hi,

Thanks for your feedback. I’m planning to make the password feature more usable in the coming weeks. I’ll get back to you on this when I have made the necessary modifications.

I’m currently working on the password setup in general and it will be better designed in the next version, which is released at the end of next week.
