• Woocommerce is really a nice plugin… It was completely fine, till the password meter fired up out of nowhere…

Weak – Please enter a stronger password.
Hint: The password should be at least twelve characters long. To make it stronger, use upper and lower case letters, numbers, and symbols like ! ” ? $ % ^ & ).

I need help to disable this from Woocommerce itself, rather than using any plugin.
Can anybody please assist me ASAP…?

    Hello @zadid,

By default, WooCommerce does not have a password meter. The password meter must come from the WordPress software itself.

Can you show a screenshot of the password meter you’re referring to or post the link to the page where the password meter is visible?

    Hi @zadid!

If you don’t want to use a plugin, you can use a snippet, too, to remove the meter. You’ll find a snippet here:

    https://www.webroom.tech/remove-password-strength-checker-wordpress-woocommerce/

Here is how you can add the code to your site:

    Cheers!

    I understood, how to remove… I’ll try it soon…

But, my question is, I’m using same settings since January… It never occured before…
Why it’s occurring out of nowhere…?

The password indicator was added to WordPress a while ago for security reasons, to ensure that customers would choose a secure password.

The meter itself is likely coming from your theme.

    Thanks for your Insight…
But, i’m using this theme from February, I guess…
Purchased from Themeforest… I did not face this kind of issue earlier…

In that case, you may want to reach out to your theme’s support team. Third party themes are best supported by their own resp. developers (and more importantly, I’d rather not give you any incorrect information).

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
