Passworded posts

I have to password one of my blogs as I am speaking out against an organization that will kick me out if my blog is public. Since I can’t pw the whole blog, I need the pw to work on posts. It is not. When I type in the pw, it just keeps refreshing that page. I am using the latest version of WP.

Any help would be wonderful. I know only enough to be dangerous so please be as specific as possible.
