I’m using your plugin (started with 3.6.1, updated 3.9.1) with list view ; my site is in French.

I have put on the menu links to the list of past events and past events per categories with 3.7, but they are not working correctely under 3.9.

    a. Links to all past events worked before (3.6 and 3.7) with the url “/past” (I’m using the term translated in .po file), but is now redirected to /liste/?tribe_event_display=past. However, with this link, at least all the content is ok.
    b. Links to past events by category under the form “category/slug/past” now show the page title (h2) “Upcoming events” with “nothing found” message.
I found out that the page shows up with the path “category-slug/(list)/?action=tribe_list&tribe_event_display=past” (works with or without /list). But the “pretty” url is better.

below some minor bugs less important.
    ========
Related to the above point, the link “previous events”, redirects to
    liste/?action=tribe_list&tribe_paged=1&tribe_event_display=past
and the site name in the title tag doesn’t show up. (idem with upcoming)

    4. Admin dash bord => Drafts
I have the following message for each draft :
Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /the-events-calendar/lib/tribe-templates.class.php on line 688

    Howdy Alelouya,

Unfortunately your first problem regarding the url …/past/ is the result of a necessary change within our plugin. WP Rewrites are only so powerful. And they impose restrictions that we faced elsewhere in the plugin, restrictions we needed to remove by switch /past/ to ?action=tribe_list&tribe_paged=1&tribe_event_display=past . There is sadly little we can do at this point.

Have you updated your translations file, as you must after each update? This guide basically walks you through what is needed even though it’s more geared towards changing languages, it applies to updates as well. Did that restore your blank title? If not, please open up a topic in our translations forums about an incompletely or buggy french translation: Premium Support Forums

    Cheers!

Hi, Brook, thanks for your reply and the link to your guide.
I’m not sure to understand some points (language problem !) :

    – Have you updated your translations file, as you must after each update?
=> As for my language, your plugin comes with the translation, which is great, and the translation files were updated automatically with the plugin’s update. So I suppose there’s nothing else I need to do. ?

    – your guide says :

Lastly, in your dashboard, go to Settings –> Permalinks and clear your permalinks.

=> Am I to understand that I must click the “save” button in the permalinks section after each update without changing anything ?

    Howdy again Alelouya!

Am I to understand that I must click the “save” button in the permalinks section after each update without changing anything ?

Not necessarily. They should flush automatically when you update the plugin. But when you change languages, you must flush permalinks right after the language change.

I did not realize this before, but it appears that our french translation it is not completely up to date. It needs to be corrected in some areas to fully translate version 3.9 of our plugin. If you wish to help us correct those areas, then please open a topic in our Premium Support Forums inside the “Translations” forum, and we can get you setup with the tools to correct any missing bits, then apply them to your site that it is 100% translated.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Cheers!

    – Brook
