I’ve created multiple events for both January 2024 and September 2024. They’re in the backend, with status Published. However, browsing to January (see link) or September shows me no events at all. How do I get the monthly calendar view to display past events?

Added info: it’s not just past events, no events at all are showing.

Added info: System info tells me:
Missing Event Table Data | Missing Occurrences Table Data | Event Table Missing | Occurrences Table Missing

This is after a fresh install of the plugin, which I’ve previously uninstalled a couple of months back (changed my mind about keeping the event calendar on the site).

    Hi @florismk

    Thanks for reaching out.

I have checked your calendar page and I see the events are showing in both January and September → https://share.zight.com/QwuJQmbn. I am just curious if I am missing something here? Have you proceeded with the migration? You could also try to re-install the plugins and see if that helps as well.

Also, I haven’t found caching or script errors during the test, so I guess it maybe a good idea to disable this option WP-ADMIN → Events → Settings → Enable the Month View Cache if it’s turned on at the moment.

Please keep me on the loop on how it goes.

Hi Jes, thanks for your reponse! It’s true that the events now show, because I was able to fix the issue late last night. Had on my list for today to update this thread.

Given that sysinfo reported the events and occurences tables missing, I decided to try recreating them. I installed and activated the plugin on a site where it hadn’t ever been installed. Then I used phpMyAdmin to extract the table creation scripts, and applied those to the database for the site under discussion.

After that, events I created showed up, and I recreated each event, deleting the previously created ones. Those did not show up even after resaving them, suggesting that the events and occurences records are created upon event creation, and not at updates.

I can now also deduce how this problem came to be. A few months ago, I uninstalled TEC. Later, I had cause to clean up the database, and I went ahead and deleted all tables associated with plugins I no longer used. Some TEC settings, and records in wp core tables, remained however, as I noticed when I reinstalled TEC. Apparently, the presence of those settings and records when I reinstalled TEC, prevented the creation of the events and occurences to be triggered.

So my issue is solved (forgot to mark it as such with my previous comment).

    Hi @florismk

Thank you for confirming and I’m happy to hear that everything is now functioning properly.

If you have some time to review, that would be amazing!
