An event in the past (dated Aug. 31st 2016) is showing up in my client’s “Upcoming Events” view on both the “events” page and in any shortcodes I’m using to display upcoming events on pages or sidebars. All other past events are properly hidden in the upcoming events view. I’ve been using the plugin for quite some time and it always moved an event to the “past events” view as soon as it ended. Any suggestions here or do I possibly have something setup incorrectly?

    Thanks,
    Chris Blair

  • That’s super strange, Chris! Sorry for the trouble.

Does the issue also happen when switching to a default WordPress theme and deactivating all other plugins besides The Events Calendar? Past events appear correctly in the Past Events archive when testing in those conditions, so I wonder if there’s a conflict with something else that is installed.

If the issue is still happening in those default conditions, then a link to the event in question and a screenshot of it’s settings in the event editor would be a help for sure.

    Thanks!
    Geoff

I will check and follow-up on this. I’ll need to clone the site to test because the site is live and gets quite a bit of traffic. So might take a couple days.

    Good evening Chris,

Thank you for checking things out.
In case you are interested, here’s the full testing for conflicts procedure: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/

Let us know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.
