paste into 2.9.2 missing text

  • I have a new installation of WP 2.9.2. When pasting text into a page or post, most of the text is deleted upon saving or updsting. Only the first third or so shows. Have tested with default theme as well as Agent theme – same result. Have tried visual editor and html editor – same result. Any idea what could be causing this?

  • – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
