• Greetings.

I wish to copy Contact Form 7 into a new page. This is within an existing WordPress theme.

Here is what I have done thus far:

When I click on “Plugins”, “Manage Plugins” comes up. I click on “settings” under Contact Form 7. The following instructions appear: “Copy this code and paste it into your post, page or text widget content.”

I copy the following code as it appears (without any edits) into a contact page I created within “Pages” on the visual setting:

    <p>Your Name (required)
    [text* your-name] </p>

    <p>Your Email (required)
    [email* your-email] </p>

    <p>Subject
    [text your-subject] </p>

    <p>Your Message
    [textarea your-message] </p>

    <p>[submit “Send”]</p>

When I click on “Update Page” the HTML code appears as it did under “settings.”

What specific steps do I need to perform to get the code to appear as the required contact form?

    Thanks in advance.

  • No – copy the code at the top of the page – immediately under the form’s title in a coloured box. It should look something like [contact-form 1 "Your Form Name"].
