Pasting from Microsoft Word breaks on save

Save the word file as html and paste your selection’s html into the ‘code’ tab. You’ll still have to do some editing because Word’s HTML conversion is somewhat inconsistent in my experience.

Understand there is a significant difference between html editing which is what writing in WordPress is and writing in a word processor environment.

‘paste from word’ won’t convert your Word tables but it is handy to get the text over.
