Path problem with taxonomies

Having a problem with custom posts and taxonomies. I am getting a common path problem where my site directory appears to be repeated.

1) After registering and creating a custom post and taxonomies< i get the following error:

You tried going to https://localhost/wordpress/wordpress/deals/hotel-in-romania-for-sale/, and it doesn’t exist. All is not lost! You can search for what you’re looking for.

Note that ‘wordpress’ is the name of my local site directory : xampp/htdocs/wordpress/wp-content etc.

2) When I created a Taxonomy nav bar, I get the following error:

You tried going to https://localhost/wordpress/wordpress/function.call-user-func-array, and it doesn’t exist.

In both cases why am I getting an added /wordpress/ in path? How do I fix that?
