    i tried setting up the plugin today but it is not working the way i excpect it to work.

    my settings are:
    remote storage: s3-compatible
    S3 location: s3generic://bucket-name
    S3 end-point: hostname.com

    Bucket access style: path style

    but when i try to use those settings or test those settings i get the following error:
    (UpdraftPlus_S3::putObject(): [6] Could not resolve host: bucket-name.hostname.com)

    so it is trying to connect via the virtual-host style even i told him to use the path style

    Can you tell us which storage provider that is with, please? (We may already have an account that we can use for testing).

    Thank you,
    David

    Hi,

    Thank you. I was able to reproduce this issue (or at least believe so – someone else reported something different, but they turned out to be related issues when I analysed the code). Please can you update to today’s 1.22.10 release, which should fix it (it did on the test setup in which I reproduced the other problem).

    Thank you,
    David?????

    Thanks for letting us know. Good to hear that it’s working on a new provider too. “S3 compatible API” is a term that has a lot of variation in what different providers mean by it (which is understandable, as S3 can have a lot of optional and complex interacting parts).

    David
