• Theme: Twenty Twenty-Three – all settings pretty much default. Using a static home page.

    Using latest WP version (6.4.1)

When I create a new page, I am automatically taken to the “choose a pattern” option. This is great!

I only see seven patterns to choose from.

    Question 1:

How can I make all the patterns on my site (39 total) available in this new page interface so that I can choose any of them?

    Question 2:

How can I change which pattern is being used on a page? How do I change that pattern to a different one?

    Thanks!

    Hi there,

How can I make all the patterns on my site (39 total) available in this new page interface so that I can choose any of them?

This is not possible natively, unless you use custom code. The only blocks added there by default are the core blocks.

If you’re a developer, you could try creating something based on the original PR: https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/pull/40034

How can I change which pattern is being used on a page? How do I change that pattern to a different one?

You can do that by pressing the plus icon, then selecting Patterns. All your patterns would show there. You then just need to delete your initial pattern added fully or partially — this also allows you to have multiple patterns on your pages.
