Pay in 3 Option not working

Can you specify which “option” you are missing? Are you not seeing the Pay Later banners or do you expect a “Pay in 3” button in the checkout?

Thanks for your help. I’m not seeing the pay later or the pay in 3 banner at check out. And when I select paypal as the payment method the pay in 3 option is not there (although the pay later option is)

Thanks for the recent update. I have updated and unfortunately I’m still experiencing the same issue.
All the pay later options are enabled as instructed but I have no Pay later or pay in 3 banners visible on the product page or check out page. When I click through to check out using Paypal the only pay later option offered is Paypal credit. No sign of the Pay in 3 option?

I’m adding my findings to this thread, UK here too using a Sandbox account, all necessary Pay in 3 settings are enabled, but no Pay in 3 messaging is being displayed. Plus I randomly have a ‘sofort’ option – whatever that’s for?? And an unwanted ‘Credit/Debit Card’ payment option which is extremely confusing considering we have Sagepay (Opayo) which already does that!

Hi, I have a couple of points regarding this:

1. We were able to remove the confusing additional buttons (Sofort and Credit Card) by changing the layout from Vertical to Horizontal. This is clearly a bug but it’s a bug that helps us currently.

2. We see the PI3 banner above the PayPal buy button in single product, cart and checkout. But – we don’t want the Buy button visible except in the checkout. When we disable the Buy button, the PI3 banner also disappears so it appears that we cannot display the banner without a buy now button??

It’s not actually a bug that the other funding methods disappear when you change the layout from vertical to horizontal.
With a horizontal layout, PayPal only supports up to two buttons, e.g. the PayPal and the Pay Later button. Here you can see some examples: https://developer.paypal.com/docs/checkout/integration-features/customize-button/
Other funding sources (such as Sofort or Credit Card) are not displayed within the horizontal layout, only with the vertical layout.
If you want to hide other funding sources without using the horizontal layout, then you can do so via the Disable funding sources setting.
The Pay Later banners are supposed to be independent of the button, though.
In my testing system, I can still display the banners when I have disabled the button for the particular site. Can you please check your settings again?

@krob92 Have you tried connecting a sandbox account? With our testing accounts, the banners are served as intended, but we have had one other report where a live merchant account failed to load the banners. In the end, PayPal seemed to have resolved the issue in that case.

Thanks for the quick reply! My client decided they are happy to try the PayPal buttons also on those pages so for now it’s not an issue.

Hi, I am experiencing this issue aswell. I cannot get the Pay in 3 to appear whatever setting i do.

I have tried verticle, horizontal etc.

Please can you advise the resolution here.

For the Pay Later banners to appear, your WooCommerce store location and also the store currency must match the PayPal merchant account.
When these prerequisites are met and the banners are not loaded, then it is usually related to the PayPal account itself.
Can you please also test it with a PayPal sandbox merchant account to see if the banners appear then?
