Hi, I’d like to make use of the German Pay Later Messaging (i.e. pay in instalments) but it just does not show up anywhere despite it being activated within the plugins settings.

I’m referring to this kind of banner:
    https://www.paypalobjects.com/ppdevdocs/new/img/docs/pay-later/de/message-text-primary-left-black-DEPLQGTZ.png

While the Pay Later Button is being shown correctly (wants user to log in to paypal), the additional banner messages are not showing up.

    I’ve tried:
Sandbox mode as well as live
    Storefront theme

I’ve also tried inserting the sdk code from paypal into my theme:

    <div
      data-pp-message
      data-pp-placement="product"
      data-pp-amount="120.00">
    </div><span>test</span>

But that only led to a basically empty “zoid” iframe (live and sandbox).

Any ideas where to troubleshoot further?

    Hi @jhtjards,

With a newly created German PayPal business Sandbox account, the behavior is the same?
Please also make sure that your WooCommerce store location is set to Germany and the currency is set to Euro.
If the messages are still not showing, then we would be interested in a link to your site or even better a copy of your system report. You can share it either here in the forums or privately with us from here: https://paypal.inpsyde.com/docs/request-support/
    Thanks!

    Kind regards,
    Niklas

Hi Niklas, thanks for your reply!
Indeed, the currency is Euro, WooCommerce location is Germany.

I’ve disconnected both live and sandbox accounts and reconnected via quick connect login button. Previously this was configured manually.

We’re getting closer. Now the PP messages work within the sandbox-mode, but still not in live mode.

I’ve sent a system report via your link.

I wonder if there is a bug regarding the fact that we have enabled 0% interest financing.

    Thanks!
If there are any other forms of credit or financing enabled for your live PayPal account, then it could be possible that PayPal does not provide the Pay Later messaging, even if the Pay Later button itself is available.
The PayPal MTS should be in a better position to help out at this point though. When the Pay Later messaging works with a Sandbox account but not the live one, then it’s usually related to the PayPal account.
We don’t receive any errors from PayPal that could be displayed in a meaningful way, so as things work, for now, the messages would just not appear when requested if disabled for your PayPal account.

    Kind regards,
    Niklas
