Pay per video

  • Hi does anyone know of an existing WP theme that would do the following:

    allow me to post videos and charge viewers per video? I don’t want a membership site, no logging in, no registering, nothing like that. Just show up at my site, see the icons for all the videos, clicking on video icon will take them to a payment center, complete the payment will take them to the actual video. if payment fails or they click back button, video will not play.

    The videos can not be viewed without paying first and visitors must pay each time they want to watch a video, even if they have already paid for it before.

    Hi Steven;

    Thank you so much for the quick response. I actually checked all these links you provided (and many others) before I posted my inquiry here. None of them seem to offer what I am looking for. They all offer a membership, meaning logging in is required and based on the subscription rights the member can then access certain payable content. It’s not what I am after.

    You might cobble up something with Paypal and a way to expire the ability to download after a short set time. That might be a pain if too short but a bigger pain if they have it long enough to share the link.

    There are ways to generate a one-use page with an expiry attached to it to make that page die after a couple of hours or so.

    Thank you for that info but you are right that would be too much involvement having to do that for every video. I gather I’ll be contacted someone to write a custom theme for me.

    I was talking about the length of time to expire the on the fly page.
