Payment Accepted but e-mail not sent

After updating my store to the last version (3.9.3), the orders paid using our bank gateway are received with the right status “Payment accepted”, but no e-mail is sent to the customer (neither to the admin).
I had a look to the wpsc_purchase_logs in the DB, the email_sent field is 0 for the new orders.
When updating the order status, both emails are sent.I found this post, regarding same issue, and applied the suggested method (including emptying the wpsc_checkout_forms table, but issue remains
