Payment “ausstehend”

Hi there,

If I understand correctly, in Stripe it is showing as Pending and in WooCommerce it’s indicating that Stripe is waiting for the payment to be recorded. Is this from the Order Notes section of the transaction?

This could mean that there is an issue with the payment method/card used by the customer to make payment and Stripe is still trying to get the funds in order to complete the transaction.

You say the status in WooCommerce changed today. What is the status of the order in WooCommerce now?

Also, could you please send me a copy of your site’s system status report? You can find it under WooCommerce > Status in the dashboard. Click “Get system report” and then the “Copy for support” button. Once you’ve done that, paste it into your reply.

There is no change in the order status. It is still “In Wartestellung”, so waiting. Correct, there has been a new message a few days ago in the order notes: “Stripe erwartet Erfassung der Zahlung: py_1J2acu….. Status der Bestellung von Zahlung ausstehend auf In Wartestellung ge?ndert.”

Hi @kiscsiszu,

Can you clarify for us if the order is showing as Paid in the Stripe dashboard? If it’s not, that’s something the Stripe team will need to help investigate, as the SOFORT payment hasn’t been cleared through their system.

If, on the other hand, the payment has been completed in Stripe, and the WooCommerce order is showing as Pending Payment, we recommend verifying Stripe webhooks have been configured to notify the site when a payment has been completed.

On 17th June the payment status became “erfolgreich” (successful) in stripe. I consider this as a final state so the payment was really executed by the customer, right?
In Woocommerce I manually moved the order into the next state, so in progress.

When a customer makes a payment using Sofort, funds are not guaranteed to your business until they are actually received, which is typically two business days later (but can be up to 14 days later). So it is expected if you don’t see the WooCommerce order status changed to Processing immediately. However, if the payment show successful/completed on the Stripe dashboard and the order status in WooCommerce remained at Pending then it is like to be an issue with the webhook configuration.

Could you please check the Stripe webhooks documentation and confirm everything is configured correctly?
