I’m currently building my membership site on a test area. I’ve set up two membership levels, Copper (Free Forever) and Gold (Early Adopters Lifetime) Premium membership.

I have a problem with the button for the Gold level. Actually two problems!

The first and main problem is that when you click on the Buy Now button, which is displayed via the shortcode for the payment button, it just comes up with an error:

Fatal error! Payment with ref_id swpm_f07f0ea63a304fcb14b76a93fe0bd14f|37410 can’t be found

I’ve checked everything and it’s all been set up as per the documentation. But it’s still not working.

My second problem is that the button text I’ve specified is not being displayed in the button. Instead, it just says, “Buy Now”.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

The first and main problem is that when you click on the Buy Now button, which is displayed via the shortcode for the payment button, it just comes up with an error:

Make sure you have read the following instructions.

    https://simple-membership-plugin.com/create-paypal-buy-now-button-inside-the-simple-membership-plugin/

My second problem is that the button text I’ve specified is not being displayed in the button. Instead, it just says, “Buy Now”.

Where have you changed the buttons name? We don’t have that feature in our plugin.

    Kind regards.

Thanks for the link to the instructions. Those are the instructions I have followed, except that I am using Stripe instead of PayPal.

But the fact that I am getting an error message such as, “Fatal error! Payment with ref_id swpm_23338abaf124146a52a614d815c5a8fb|37410 can’t be found,” suggests an internal problem. Why else would it say, “Fatal error!”?

As for the second point, in the Create (or Edit) Button screen, there’s a field, “Button Title”. I am assuming that is what the button will be displayed as? If not, where should the “Button Title” be displayed?

    Hi,

except that I am using Stripe instead of PayPal.

Sorry I was not aware you are using Stripe instead of PayPal. In that case please check the following instructions.

    https://simple-membership-plugin.com/sca-compliant-stripe-buy-now-button/

If the above does not help, can you uninstall the plugin and install a fresh new copy. Then carry out a test.

If the above does not help can you carry out the following troubleshooting steps.

    https://simple-membership-plugin.com/forums/topic/test-for-plugin-and-theme-conflict-before-posting-an-issue-or-a-bug/

As for the second point, in the Create (or Edit) Button screen, there’s a field, “Button Title”. I am assuming that is what the button will be displayed as? If not, where should the “Button Title” be displayed?

The Button Title is more for reference so that you know exactly what the button represents. To customize the button text you can specify the value in the shortcode using the “button_text” parameter. Below is an example shortcode that uses “Pay Now” as the payment button text:
    [swpm_payment_button id=75 button_text="Pay Now"]

Let me know if the information above helps you.

    Thank you.

I have the same problem, even created a new page with new button and plan on stripe, which only returns a Fatal error! Payment with ref_id swpm_64e923ae1b0d0c2ce5596f5c73c38fd1|927 can’t be found

I have followed the instructions exactly on your documentation. Please help this is urgent.
