• I am trying to set up a simple shopping cart with a a few pricing options for a non-profit organization and wondering if I can use Bank Of America as the payment gateway to process credit card payment?

I would be very shocked that WordPress does not have this flexibility, after this great experience.

Would greatly appreciate any insights of guidance here.

    Thanks in advance.

  • You’ll need to use an ecommerce plugin or write something with an api provided by a payment gateway. To my knowledge, bank of america is not a payment gateway, and you’d need to use something like authorize.net.

Thanks for your response. I was thinking that I could add a button with a hyperlink to take the customer to a payment gateway link (for example chase paymentech or first data system, etc.).

I guess that is not possible.

If there is a suggestion on a simple shopping cart with a couple of options, please feel free to let me know. Truly appreciate all your responses.

I am also looking for a plug-in for use with a Bank Of America merchant account. I’ll post here if I find one.

You have to use a payment gateway in addition to a merchant account:

Right. So we need a plug-in that supports a Payment Gateway that can serve Bank Of America merchant accounts.

My apologies as I did not see these posts. Bank of America uses Global Gateway e4 solution to do their transactions. I was told that eShop (plugin) can be used to accomplish the task. However, I have no clue how to use it.

If anyone can figure it out (or has figured it out), kindly let me know.

    Thanks.

Lots of info on eShop here:
